Das Buch ist Teil eine umfangreichen Nachschlagewerks. Das Buch stammt ursprünglich aus der Bibliothek der Grafen von Arnim, Schloss Boitzenburg. Wie das meiste Inventar des Schlosses gingen 1945 auch die Bücher der Bibliothek verloren. Das Buch ist gestempelt mit einem Siegel der "BIBLIOTHECA BOYTZENBURGENSIS" mit stilisiertem Wappen der Boitzenburger Grafen von Arnim. Die Grundlagen für die Bibliothek des Schlosses Boitzenburg wurden von Georg Dietloff von Arnim-Boitzenburg (* 18. September 1679; † 20. Oktober 1753) gelegt. Auf Schloss Boitzenburg ließ er dafür eigens einen Seitenflügel für die Schlossbibliothek bauen.
